Hildebrand Schülerkreis – 3-8 July Gaming, Austria

The ESMP is glad to support and announce the second annual meeting of the Hildebrand Schülerkreis, which will be held this July 3-8, 2018 in Gaming, Austria.

The purpose of the Schülerkreis, established by the Hildebrand Project in 2017, is to ensure that the tradition of Christian personalism and realist phenomenology as embodied by Dietrich von Hildebrand, Karol Wojtyla, Max Scheler, Edith Stein, and many others has an annual gathering.

This year will be the first gathering in Europe. Confirmed participants include Rocco ButtiglioneJohn F. CrosbyMartin CajthamlJosef Seifert, and others. Special guests include Juan Manuel Burgos,  Elisa Grimi, and others. The 2018 agenda will not only involve philosophizing together, but also engaging in robust and sustained discussions about the future of this intellectual tradition and how best to use collective resources to sustain and grow the intellectual community.

Regarding the attendance fees, please consider that there is a limited amount of scholarship funding available for those whose attendance would require it. Please indicate on your application if you are applying for a scholarship. The deadline to be considered for a scholarship is May 18, and the window for all applications is May 31.
