Rice is Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Philosophical Theology in the Immaculate Conception Seminary School of Theology at Seton Hall University. He holds degrees from The Catholic University of America, the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum, and the University of Notre Dame, and he studied the thought of Karol Wojtyła at the Catholic University of Lublin. His research interests lie in questions of intersubject ivity, human ecology, the ethics of marriage and family, and the experience of conscience as related to self-constitution. He has held research fellowships from Princeton Theological Seminary, Seton Hall University, the Catholic University of Lublin, the Kosciuszko Foundation, the Dr. Robert R. Banville Foundation, and the Earhart Foundation.
